Hello !
I am Julie, a French artist and illustrator working and living in Brussels.
My artwork is rooted in narrative and onirism and explores anthropogenic pressures and human vulnerabilities. I like creating metaphoric worlds where characters wander and silently interact and in which everyone can project their imaginary. I combine watercolours with digital techniques and have included risograph printing within my practice since 2021. My universe is inspired by my 10 years’ experience as a human-rights advocate, and by artists like Folon, Rothko or Miyazaki, but also a wide range of humanist and feminist authors. I am now working on my first graphic novel project. I am always looking forward to collaborations with others artists, magazines, cultural and social projects and publishers.
