Hi, I'm Julie — an illustrator helping editorial teams and creatives tell their stories through vibrant & metaphor-rich visuals.
I love working with watercolors, risograph printing, and digital tools to create poetic and relatable illustrations that explore themes such as social issues, ecology, and mental health. With a background in political science and over a decade of experience as a human and women’s rights advocate, I’m deeply engaged with questions of social justice and representation.
Soft gradients and vivid pigments are at the core of my process — I’m fascinated by how shades and colors can express emotion and meaning. My work combines gentle textures, delicate lines, and vibrant palettes to bring warmth and sensitivity to complex subjects.
I live and work in Brussels, where I’m an active member of the collectives “La Guilde” and “Les Ateliers du Toner.” I regularly collaborate with magazines, publishers, non-profits, and institutions. If you have a project in mind or simply want to chat, feel free to get in touch !

What you might also like to know...
I like clouds, morning mist and hot, spicy chocolate. And cats. I sketch in blue and cannot draw hands. Or feet. I like round shapes and a wobbly perspective.
Wind makes me nervous and thunderstorms make me want to hide. Rainbow colours make me happy.
